We have a membership that we extend to our clients called the Diamond Club. One of the benefits of being a club member is the annual free visit to your home. Here is what we do during our free annual visit:
Q&A
The very first thing we do when we come into your home is talk with you about any concerns you may have. We ask questions about the entire plumbing system, along with the components that we found are common areas of interest. We do this to make sure we can address any important issues that may have arisen.
Safety Inspection
After that, we move onto what we call our safety inspection. This consists of going into every area of the home that has plumbing in it, testing the valves, and making sure that water doesn’t leak out of the drains or water lines. We also run the fixtures to make sure they are working properly along with making sure that there are no slow drains.
Tank Water Heater Maintenance
Next, we do complete maintenance on your water heater. Tank water heaters should be flushed every year. They should also be checked for a deplenishing anode rod. If the rod is reduced by 25 percent or more, we recommend changing it to extend the water heater’s life. The most important safety device in your home’s plumbing system is located on your water heater: It’s called the temperature and pressure relief valve. The manufacturer recommends that it is worked every year and inspected every three years.
Tankless Water Heater Maintenance
For people who have a tankless water heater, they may need to be flushed depending on the brand. All tankless water heaters have screens and areas that should be cleaned to prevent a failure. This will all be done free of charge.
Proactive Service
If there is anything that was a concern before or during the inspection, we will be able to fix it immediately. A proactive approach saves you the service charge for having a plumber come to your home. You won’t have to worry about extra fees during off-hours or weekends from making a service call, either.
Prioritization
If we come into a home and find that it is very old or neglected by a previous owner, there can be several issues that need to be addressed. Sometimes, it’s not practical to fix all of those issues at once. In that case, we will prioritize those items to determine which are most important.
Our free annual visit allows us to tell you what you might need to pay attention to before anything breaks down. Sometimes replacements can be costly, so you will be equipped with the information you need to make an informed decision about planning to replace necessary equipment. You won’t have to worry about an urgent critical matter on your hands that you hadn’t planned for.
