My Predictions for the Plumbing Industry This Year

Although we’re already well into 2021, I have a few predictions for the plumbing industry this year. One of the areas most closely attached to the plumbing and HVAC industries is the housing market (home building, interest rates, buying/selling homes, etc.). I don’t really think interest rates are going to jump up steeply in a short amount of time. That means a lot of people are excited about their house, and some people are even deciding to buy a new home right now.

Because more homes are being bought and sold right now, there’s a higher demand for HVAC technicians, plumbing technicians, and other qualified tradespeople. After all, sellers might want to get some things right before putting their home on the market. Excited homebuyers might want to do some upgrades, too. For these reasons, I think this year is going to be a bright year for the industry.

We’re also currently seeing an increase in fuel costs (during late-winter and early-spring 2021). As fuel costs rise, people start to think more and more about efficiency. They’ll start to notice their power bills and/or gas bills increasing, and HVAC is definitely the number one contributor. Upgrading an HVAC system to a newer, more efficient model can really help save money when it comes to utilities.

Because the demand for qualified tradespeople is so high, we’re definitely on the lookout for new team members in HVAC or plumbing. We’re definitely willing to hire someone who meets our requirements. To learn more, visit WislerJobs.com. You can also reach out to us by calling 540-483-9382.
